We’re the Stroud Town CAN – Stroud’s community action network – people and groups who’ve gotten together to discover, share and start ideas and projects to help all of us here around Stroud lead realistic, sustainable climate and nature friendlier lives, and to build stronger, fairer and greener communities for us each to contribute to, enjoy and live happily in.
We’re calling on you to join in – the more of us who get involved, the better our chances of starting Stroud’s better future sooner rather than later, and for everyone, not just a few.
The time to act is now, and all of us can make changes and play our part in making Stroud a better place.

Be a volunteer hero
Join us and others busy around the town, in your neighbourhood, down your street, in the many very different ways in which we’re bringing about good changes to Stroud.
Be a helping hand
Got a few hours, some useful contacts, a bit of space in your shed going spare? We can all help much more than we realise, and these are the people who need you right now.
Play your own part and help others play theirs – because everything you do, however little you might think it is, makes a difference.
Make yourself heard
No-one persuades someone to change what they’re doing like a friend who they trust. No-one has more power with a business or a politician as someone who is about to switch their loyalty to someone else.
Swap stories
We all need to know what’s working to know what’s best to do. We all need to learn from each other’s experiences. Tell us, Stroud
